Honored to Receive the TRREB Community Service Award
I am thrilled to share that in May 2023, I received the prestigious Toronto Regional Real Estate Board’s (TRREB) Community Service Award. This recognition honors my volunteer work with Lean In Canada, an organization I co-founded to empower women to build fulfilling careers.
TRREB’s Community Service Awards spotlight members who make significant contributions to the community. Being selected as a winner among such dedicated professionals is a tremendous honor, reaffirming the impact of our efforts to give back to the community.
Lean In Canada has been instrumental in providing women with learning opportunities, fostering connections, building self-confidence, and organizing mentorships. Many women have shared that being part of Lean In Canada has helped them advance their careers and take bold steps they never thought possible. These stories are a testament to the positive change we are making.
One core message I emphasize is that volunteering should not be hindered by time constraints. Whether you can spare an hour a day or an hour a week, every bit of effort counts towards building a supportive and empowering community. As I stated in the TRREB announcement:
“If you only have an hour a day or an hour a week to volunteer, you can still volunteer.”
Receiving the TRREB Community Service Award is a humbling experience and a recognition of the collective efforts of everyone involved in Lean In Canada. It fuels my commitment to continue empowering women and advocating for their success in real estate and beyond.
